5 Solid Online Tools for Business Owners

the best online tools for business owners

Sometimes, the tool that will grow your business is a free tool. Unless you know and use these free tools, your business will really struggle. Here are 5 tools that will help your business grow online.

There’s no time to sit back and wait for the competition to pass you by. You need to be proactive, implementing the best tools, tracking your progress, and staying current with search engine changes.

In the past, I’ve discussed a variety of tools that you can use to boost your business, reach a larger audience, and take your revenue to the next level.

For example, my recent post on the New Year’s Resolutions for Business Owners was a very explanatory article on how best you should plan for 2021- it is never too late to plan!

Due to the attention that post got, I decided to create another, with a similar format.

This time around, I’ll examine 11 of the top online tools for Business Owners. However, I’m moving past the most well-known tools. In other words, you won’t find Wix, Fiverr, or social media platforms on the list.

Instead, I want to share tools that you may not be using but that could have a significant impact on what you do.

The goal is to shoot for tools that get the job done in the best way possible and won’t put your online business in the red before it’s up and running.

Let’s get started!

1. Canva – For Quick Graphic Designs

Do you need to create simple Graphic Designs that can help inform, educate, or persuade your target audience and convert them into sales?

Few years ago, it would’ve been hard to believe that this day would come. However, it’s here. And, it’s here to stay.

As a small business owner who has more time than money, it’s essential to understand the impact that a good and simple design can have on your business. Canva has made this possible for you to create minor designs for important updates when you do not have a big design budget yet.

Fortunately, the easy-to-use design giant is doing its part to make your life easier. With the help of Canva, it only takes a couple of minutes to choose a template and edit it accordingly or design from scratch if you have some experience in design.

After you visit canva.com, you want to see something that looks like this:

As you can see, there’s no magic with this free tool. You see a template, pick one and edit the information.

As you can see in the picture above, I use Canva once a while to create beautiful designs when I quickly need to edit something, create an impromptu design and so on. My major design tool otherwise is Adobe Photoshop or Figma, which are ‘professional’ alternatives to Canva, meaning you need skills to use them well.

Canva has a free account and a Pro account. I have a Pro account, so I enjoy unlimited access to their design library, tools, effects and fonts.

So if business owners need to make small designs quickly and very regularly and you do not have the budget for a standard design software- which is a better alternative, they would be using Canva.

2. Namecheap – For Domain Names

This is actually not entirely free. But it is super cheap!

The world of Domain names is big business. If you’re a business owner looking to drive business online, you must have an online presence.

For most, this starts with Buying a Domain Name. Navigating the world of domain names can be a daunting task if you’re not up to speed on how to get one. With countless caveats and hosting companies out there, it’s easy to be overwhelmed or worse, make a mistake that could ultimately cripple your business.

The right domain name can make or break your business. Getting a domain name isn’t difficult, but finding a URL that’s memorable and suits your business can be tough. Learn how to get a domain name for your business so you can start making online sales or engaging customers from afar.

MailChimp also is another great tool to build your email list, and it also allows for marketing automation. Due to its powerful features, hundreds of reputed companies are using this platform.

Here’s what Mailchimp has to say.

What is super about Mailchimp is that there are great options for you to grow into when you are ready. You don’t need to go down a rabbit hole when you get started but when you have out-grown the basics, you will find that there are more features for you to dive into.
