Why instagram is important for your business

Instagram and Your Business: Why You Should Start Using It

Instagram is one of the most important social media platforms out there right now. Today, I’ll show you why Instagram is so important for your business, and why you should start using it.

Ever since Instagram was launched in 2010, the service is being used by an increasing number of people each day. Everyone from the girl next door to celebrities has been using their service to make their social media presence more prominent. Why is Instagram that important?

No matter what your business is about, there is a space for you on the ‘gram. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking your business doesn’t have anything visually interesting to post. There’s a lot you can post on Instagram with a little creativity and strategic thought.

Why is Instagram That Important?

It is a very obvious fact that people remember images better than text. In fact, roughly 40% of buyers respond to visual material significantly better than written content. This is why Instagram is such a valuable marketing resource.

Big brands like Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, and Lamborghini do not run advertisements on TV, but they have Instagram accounts. Instagram will increase the number of followers and give you the opportunity to hear from them, through DMs or the comment section. That way, you can know when your business is doing well, and when you have to put in more work.

Customers always want you to listen to them (this is a business skill I had to learn and remains one of my most valuable skills or ‘scopes’ that make my customers love me. I will show you how much I want to listen to you!).

As a result, you must use Instagram in the same way that any other company or business would. If you don’t put yourself out there, you are losing a lot of potential audience and customers.

If your business has a website, you need Instagram more, as you would never have to worry about having little traffic on your website, as long as you post consistently on Instagram.

Apart from the fact that Instagram allows you to put out visual content, there are other reasons why this platform might be quite useful for your business:

  • Instagram is used by more than 30% of people who use the internet.
  • Instagram is used by over 48.8% of businesses.
  • Instagram has a 10x higher engagement rate than Facebook, a 54x higher engagement rate than Pinterest, and an 84x higher engagement rate than Twitter.
  • Instagram has a user base of over 500 million people.
  • More than 60% of Instagram users visit the platform on a daily basis.
  • Every day, the platform is said to track approximately 3.5 billion likes.
  • Instagram has been used to share over 40 billion photographs.
  • Instagram has a young user base, with more than 90% of users under the age of 35.

Why You Need an Instagram Account for Your Business

Instagram alone has over one billion users and it would be silly not to take advantage of such a promising social media platform. With the right strategy, the largest image and video-sharing network can take your business to a whole new level, so you better buckle up and give it a shot.

Most brands nowadays prefer to market on social media, and Instagram is one of the most popular platforms for doing so. Instagram makes it possible for you to engage your audience.
Asides from that, Instagram will increase your brand’s engagement rate, which is extremely beneficial to your company.

If you have an Instagram account for your business, you will be able to see the following information about your followers:

  • Top Locations: These are the places where the majority of your followers are located.)
  • Age Group: This is pretty self-explanatory.
  • Gender: Days and times of day when they are most active are the same.

There is also a tab that shows you:

  • The number of accounts reached: How many accounts did your content reach on its own?
  • How many times has your content been viewed? (This includes multiple views to a post from one account)
  • Interactions: How many people visited your profile, how many people clicked on a link, how many people asked for directions, and so on are all actions taken on your account.

Then there’s the content tab, where you can see the individual stats for each piece of content you’re publishing, such as engagement, reach, impressions, and so on, for each story and post.

How to Grow Your Instagram Business Account

The most important thing you need is a quality profile, with good photos and a customized theme. Put out good content that your audience will enjoy, like videos, photos, or quotes that align with your niche. Attention to keywords is also crucial in growing your Instagram page.

Of course, I was going to explain the process to you, lol.

Growing your Instagram business account can lead to a lot more success, profit, and other benefits.
Instagram, as you may be aware, has become one of the most popular social media marketing platforms.

Growing your business on Instagram necessitates careful consideration and time. Here are some suggestions for using Instagram to promote your business:

#1: Have an Objective

It’s critical to decide what objectives you want to achieve. Because you’ll be investing a lot of time and money into Instagram marketing, it’s critical to consider what you want to get out of it.

Business objectives may differ from one to the next, but they usually include the following:

  • Boost brand recognition
  • Create a community around your business.
  • Demonstrate the company’s culture and values.
  • Sell your goods and services.

#2: Optimize your Instagram Bio

Your Instagram bio is one of the first things that visitors to your profile will see, and it has the potential to persuade them to click the Follow button.

To win over potential followers, customers, etc., Instagram only allows you to use 150 characters, one link, and a few action buttons. Make the best of what you have and make a very good first impression.

optimize your instagram bio

A bio is a short, sweet introduction about yourself. Bios should help potential followers understand who you are and what you’re all about.

Your bio is also an opportunity to be funny and show your personality. Try adding some emojis or stories to make your account more interesting or unique. You can also list your social accounts so that other people can follow you elsewhere if they want to see more of what you do.

Short break: Follow me on Twitter, you will get spoilers sometimes lol.

#3: Post Consistently

I ran an experiment in March this year. I made sure to create engaging content on Acanbi’s Business page on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Here are the results from Facebook and Instagram respectively:

Facebook page grows after posting consistently

Maintaining a regular posting schedule allows you to appear in the timelines of your target audience. Instagram displays the content that each user is most likely to enjoy, so if you consistently put out sweet content, you’d always appear on people’s phones when they open Instagram.

What people can’t see, they can’t like.

Regular posting allows you to appear in people’s feeds and gives them more opportunities to interact with you.

They’ll see your content in their Instagram feed more frequently if they interact with it.

#4: Use Hashtags the Right Way:

Hashtags can include letters and numbers, but they can’t contain any non-numerical characters. For example, #BusinessGrowth works as a hashtag, but #Bread&Toothpaste does not.

Because users can both search for hashtags and click on hashtags they see in posts in the app, relevant hashtags can be a highly effective tool for getting noticed. However, make sure you’re using the right hashtags for your brand.

Hashtags are used to organize, categorize and help people find trending topics or events. It’s also a way to branch out and find new accounts with similar interests. Most hashtags show up as links in the Instagram app so that you can quickly see photos or videos of people or businesses associated with the hashtag.

Here’s an example of how I use hashtags very well, on our Instagram Business Page:

Tip: Keep in mind that overusing hashtags or using ‘banned’ hashtags WILL actually have a negative impact on your reach.

#5: Be Interactive on Instagram

On Instagram, you can engage and interact with your followers in a variety of ways, including liking, commenting, mentioning, tagging, and direct messaging. I spoke about this last month, check it out.

To Buy Instagram Ads or Not?

Many people do not understand how Facebook Ads Work and how Instagram ads work. I do not recommend using ads unless you understand how to use them effectively; otherwise, you will most likely waste a lot of money on ads while receiving no sales for your products or services.

Based on my many years of experience, I recommend using the organic growth method to gain followers and free leads, which involves following people in your target market and engaging with them in order to encourage them to check out your businesses or follow you back. It is completely free as you won’t have to buy ads, but you will need to do serious work consistently.
